Understanding Volume / Market Cap
The Volume to Market Cap ratio measures trading liquidity and market health — are people actively trading this asset?
Weight: 10%
What is Volume / MCap?
This ratio divides 24-hour trading volume by market capitalization. It shows what percentage of a coin's total value is being traded daily. A healthy range is typically 2-15% — enough liquidity without excessive speculation.
Why It Matters
Very low volume relative to market cap means poor liquidity — hard to buy or sell without moving the price. Extremely high volume might indicate wash trading or unsustainable speculation.
How We Use It
Volume health is weighted at 10% in our Value Score. We look for a healthy, sustainable trading range rather than extremes in either direction.
